Emmanuel A. Abbe

I completed my PhD thesis at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at MIT in 2008. During my graduate years, I worked on various topics of information theory, coding, communications, statistics and graphs theory. My PhD thesis was supervised by my advisor Prof. Lizhong Zheng (EECS, MIT) and my co-advisor Prof. Emre Telatar (I&C, EPFL).

Before going to MIT, I completed my B.S. and M.S. in the Mathematics  Department at EPFL, with concentration in probability and statistics. I am currently a postdoc in the Information Processing Group (working with Prof. Rimoldi and Telatar), a lecturer in the IC department at EPFL and a research affiliate with the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at MIT.
